Hello from the United Kingdom

Post by Mashoo »

Well he has arrived. So I though I would share with fellow Alfa 164 nuts as these are almost extinct in England. Have owned two 164s but this one was the closest to my dads and the first car I drove on my dads lap at 8 years old! First picture was at 6am when it arrived on a transporter. Will keep people informed of the progress of jobs and outings of him. Few jobs needing attention some urgent some less. But the plan is a daily local driver. Not hidden away used like the makers intended :) thanks for reading!

It’s a rare twin spark. Most that have survived in England are the V6 or cloverleaf for the MK1. Daily driver it will be. Once a re condition master cylinder is fitted and a new front exhaust which is being sent DHL from Italy. Think one of the reasons these are almost gone in England is because of parts. Thank god for eBay!

Ok, the 5-hole wheels is not standard TS, but they do drive really well - and probably better suited as a daily driver.

Good that you are able to get the parts, so you can get behind the wheel and enjoy it!

Oh really? I didn’t know that. This will be my 3rd 164. So it’s four stud wheels of that design that would have been factory then? Wonder what 5 studs it would have comes with? Interesting ? Must say I have pictures of my dads old twin spark same year with 4 stud and mines 5 stud but they are same wheels. Any information would be much appreciated please.

I have not seen any TS with 5 stud wheels (think the TD is the same), but you never know with Italian cars 🍀

It can also have been modified, which is what I find most likely.
