24v QV/Cloverleaf with biege Recaros

I am gauging some interest in selling a amazing Alfa project.

I have a Cloverleaf 24v in red with mint and very rare mint biege Recaro interior. All electrics on seats work and still looks like new, these go for big money. Also has Nardi steering wheel.

Car has a brand new custom made sports exhaust (£500), not to loud and newly refurbished (£400) 18" alloys, polished lip with anthracite centres similar to speed line chronos. Also includes a set of original Cloverleaf alloys, need refurb but are all there.

On lowered suspension, bonnet has an air scoop to feed induction but is supplied with an uncut bonnet, will include original airbox for original restore.

The car passed its mot approximately 3 months ago with 1 advisory, rear trailing arm bushes which replaced with new poly bushes.

Car has original plate, engine and is complete making this a very rare car now!!

Bad points

Paint has done the usual thing, laquer peel and multiple reds.

Engine jumped a couple of teeth after a missed gear! The front cylinder head is fine with perfect compression equal across cylinders. The rear head has dropped two exhaust valves, checked with compression test and endoscope down bores. Easy repair and engine top striped to check.
Engine does have a new cambelt and a brand new tensioner from alfisimo USA £500 worth!

This would be one of the best 164 in Europe with a few hours on head and a bit of paint.

I owed this car many years ago and bought it back but the rally car has taken priority unfortunately but I may do for myself or repair an sell for best part of £2500 - 3000, just time that I could use elsewhere.

Recaro looks great! Original hood and rims back on it and GO!....

Maybe not if you purchase the parts from oversea - looks like a British car and he writes that he bought the parts in USA ... have a look at the US-$-sign ...

So the price is GBP 1200? What's the cars mileage? Where is the car?

Ok a few answers.

First the hydraulic tensioner are not available from Alfa anymore and trust me look at the price it's not wrong, he is the only person I could find who has reproduced them.

The car is a uk car, these are mega rare in the uk now let alone with the Recaros.

Mileage is approx 113,000 miles and is located roughly an hours drive from Dover in Dartford, Kent.

ono mean 'or near offer', in other words I will listen to offers.

As for the standard wheels etc they are included but once you've driven a QV on lowered suspension with 18" wheels you would not go back, the turn in and mid corner balance are great. I've had a few of these and the standard set up does not come close.

But this is a 24v right? I thought this had an mechanical tensioner.....

ah my wrong, i thought you talked about the rol itself.
@ heida : the 24V uses a sort of shock absorber. out goes very fast, in takes a long time.
It's not driven by oil pressure like the 12v has.

It's a shame to have to put her up for grabs but the rally car is more important and I haven't won the lotto yet to keep them all !

I have finally decided to rebuild the engine and restore the bodywork. I currently have the engine stripped and I am moving onto the paintwork after.

Made a decision to start a small Alfa collection, so once it is finished it will be staying along with my 75 1.8 Turbo, 166 V6 Zender and an Alfetta GTV which I have to restore next.

The 164 is my main Alfa love and I cant let her go.
